The Challenge

Cantera BJJ is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy in Plaza del Río, Tijuana. Before launch, the only thing people could find online was a placeholder page from GoDaddy and a link in their Instagram bio pointing to a Google Form. Visitors filling out the form had no idea what the schedule was, how much classes cost, or what the academy actually looked like.

The academy needed a real website — one they could share from Instagram, that showed everything important up front, and that would help turn curious visitors into pre-registrations.

The Approach

We built a single, focused webpage that gives visitors everything they need to make a decision in under a minute: who the academy is, when classes happen, what they cost, and how to sign up. No distractions, no extra clicks.

The site is in Spanish, designed for phones first since that's how most of the academy's audience browses, and follows the academy's brand — bold, dark, and confident, with the steel-blue crystal logo at the center.

What We Built

A single page with seven sections plus two legal pages:

  • A bold hero with the tagline “Forja tu técnica” and clear buttons to view the schedule or pre-register.
  • A row of six cards showing what makes Cantera different.
  • A weekly class schedule (Monday–Saturday) with a quick filter between Adults and Kids classes.
  • Pricing in Mexican pesos with a 50% off promotion for the first month.
  • A six-image photo gallery that visitors can click to view full-size.
  • A contact section with an embedded Google Map for directions.
  • A frequently-asked-questions section with 12 entries, grouped by topic.
  • A floating WhatsApp button visitors can tap any time to reach the academy directly.
  • A privacy notice and terms of service, written to meet Mexican data-protection requirements.

Everything is fast, easy to read on a phone, and ready to share — every page has a custom preview image so links look polished when posted on WhatsApp, Instagram, or Facebook.

Outcome

The site went live at canterabjj.com, replacing the GoDaddy placeholder.

  • Strong scores on Google's quality checks for speed, accessibility, and search readiness.
  • Loads quickly, even on slow mobile connections.
  • Designed so the text is easy to read for everyone, including visitors with low vision.
  • The academy can now drive Instagram traffic directly to the sign-up page.
  • A solid base to grow on — when the academy is ready, we can add an admin panel so they can update schedules, prices, and the gallery without needing a developer.

What's next: an admin panel so the academy team can keep the site fresh on their own.
